Stopping GI Tract Bleeding
The Instinct Endoscopic Hemoclip from Cook Medical
is used to stop gastrointestinal (GI) tract bleeding,
which is a condition that can be challenging to
treat because of the variations among bleeds.
The Instinct clip has two specific features
that can help a physician achieve hemostasis
more quickly and easily. First, the Instinct clip
rotates 360 degrees so that a physician can more easily place it in an
ideal position. Second, the clip has the largest span on the market so
that a physician can cover a large bleeding area with one clip. The
Instinct clip is MRI conditional up to three tesla, so patients that
have an Instinct clip can still have MRI procedures done if necessary.
ACE in the Hole
Ethicon Endo-Surgery offers
their HARMONIC ACE
+ 7 Shears with Advanced
Hemostasis – a purely ultrasonic
device with a 7 mm sealing indication. HARMONIC ACE+ 7 combines precision and multi-functionality with reliable, large
vessel sealing using the Advanced Hemostasis mode. The
HARMONIC ACE+ 7 is designed for use in numerous procedures and specialties including general, colorectal, bariatric,
gynecological, thoracic and urological procedures.
EndoChoice’s Fuse Full Spectrum Endoscopy system leverages multiple imagers on the distal tip to display a panoramic
330-degree field of view. This expanded field of view enables
physicians to see twice as much anatomy at a time as traditional scopes, and improve the quality of care offered to patients.
The multiple images are displayed on a single, FuseView 4K
Ultra HD monitor system, providing an image boosted by
almost eight million pixels (approximately four times the resolution of traditional HD displays).
