The De Mayo V2 E Knee Positioner
is designed with both the surgeon
and patient in mind. Besides its use
as a standard knee positioner on top
of the OR table, IMP’s positioner
employs a patent pending sterile
extension arm that extends the knee
positioner’s base plate off the end of
the OR table, enabling the surgeon to
stand between the patient’s legs for
a straight line of sight to the surgical
site. Surgeons no longer have to lean
over the OR table when performing
medial unicompartmental procedures.

How does the product contribute
to better outcomes?
There has been much controversy
surrounding the use of reusable
scrub hats in surgery. AORN

hats cover the head, ears, and the
nape of the neck. Further, all attire
worn in the OR should be controlled
by the healthcare facility, including
laundering of reusable attire. This
includes scrub hats.
But owners of scrub hats — often
surgeons — have fought this policy.

single-use scrub hats as well as
similarly adaptable bouffants, we
